Abstract

The aim purpose of this study was to explain  the implementation of Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) at companies in Semarang. GHRM is seen as essential for the successful implementation of green strategies and environmental management practices and   as an effort to increase environmental sustainability. Several forms of corporate Green HRM are carried out through performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits and organizational culture. The implementation of Green HRM in a company requires a strong commitment from both top management  and employee as executors of the planning. The implementation of GHRM in this study includes green recruitment, green selection, green training and development, green performance evaluation and green employee relations. Respondents in this study are HR managers and employees who work and know the situation of the company. The number of respondents was 15 people using the convenience method, data collection was done by questionnaires and interviews. Data analysis used descriptive analysis.The results show that companies have not all implemented GHRM in all HR practices. Companies have not explicitly implemented GHRM but companies are implementing ISO 14001 on the environment, are paperless, employees are asked to bring their own cutlery and protect the environment.
