INFLUENCE OF COUNSELING, INCENTIVES, LEADERSHIP STYLE ON COMMITMENT AND EMPLOYEES PERFORMANCE BROWN SUGAR SMIs IN EAST JAVA PROVINCE

Abstract

This paper aims to develop a structural equation model to explain the complex relationship, counseling, incentives, leadership style and employee performance by introducing the mediating role of employee commitment. The research model with the development of hypotheses is derived based on the literature. To provide empirical evidence, this study conducted a survey whose data were available and collected using a questionnaire list, and saturated sampling of 120 permanent employees of the brown sugar SMIs in East Java Province. The results showed that not only confirmed the positive impact of counseling, incentives, and leadership styles directly on employee performance but also identified that employee commitment did not act as a mediator on employee performance. Only tested the perceptions of 120 permanent employees of brown Sugar SMIs in East Java Province. The analysis technique used is Path analysis with statistical tools Partial Least Square (PLS), the aim is to determine the effect of counseling, incentives and leadership styles on employee performance by using employee commitment as mediation. This paper contributes to the theory of organizational behavior by explaining the mediating role of employee commitment in the complex relationship between counseling, incentives, leadership styles on the performance of employees at  brown sugar SMIs in East Java Province
