THE EFFECT OF PERSONALITY, JOB SATISFACTION, AND ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT ON OCB
Abstract
Human resources play an important role in an organization. Obviously, the achievement of organizational goals will be failure without any supports from good human resources within an organization. Therefore, it is compulsory for an organization to perceive individuals as an asset for the organization, and no longer to acknowledge them as an organizational burden. Otherwise, good relationship and synergy between leaders and employees will be developed when those perspectives are conveyed in the organization
This research was a quantitative research that measured the effect of personality, job satisfaction and organizational commitment on organizational citizenship behavior. The population of this research were overall 33 lecturers of STMIK Tidore Mandiri. The sampling technique was saturated sampling of which all population samples were identified as samples. Moreover, the data were analysed using quantitative data analysis technique with the measurement on numbers using statistical methods, i.e. multiple linear regression.
As the results, this research indicated that personality, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment had a positive effect on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) of lecturers in STMIK Tidore Mandiri. This research also found that the lecturers whose good personality would tend to provide better organizational citizenship behavior.
